Cell Phones for Soldiers ~ Please notice envelopes on the bulletin board for "Cell Phones for Soldiers". It's free and convenient to turn in your used cell phone for soldiers' use to stay in contact with their families. Phones can be any condition or brand and do not need to have batteries. No postage necessary. For more information see www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com. Lockheed Federal Credit Union, located on East-West Connector also collects used cell phones.
Pray Without Ceasing T-shirts will not arrive until the first week of May. Thanks to those who have pre-ordered and supported the Youth in this fundraiser. Additional shirts have been ordered so if you did not pre-order, you still have a chance to get a shirt with Nativity's name on it (and help your Youth Group get to the 2009 New Orleans Gathering!)
CAMP: New Year, New Soap Drive!! Since we did so well by
collecting 2,571 bars of soap in 2007, we have been given the challenge of
raising 3,000 bars of soap in 2008! As of March 16th we had only 368 bars
of soap toward our quarterly goal of 750. If each member brings 10 bars every
month, we could make our goal! CAMP also will accept non-perishable food
items as well as clothes and small household items and plastic grocery bags.
These items may be placed in the baskets located in the Church Narthex or Haffly
Hall. The Flower Chart and the Marietta Daily Journal advertising chart are posted on separate bulletin boards in the Narthex. Please sign up. Flowers are $15 a vase and the advertising is $50 a month.
Current Events ~ Please check the "Current" Bulletin Board (next to the kitchen door) in Haffly Hall for upcoming events happening in and around our community!
PRAYER MINISTRY: Nativity now has available a Prayer Insert that can be printed and taken with you for your personal prayer time. It includes all the names on the current prayer request list, the names on the military prayer list, as well as helpful prayers to assist you. Print it on both sides of one sheet of paper and fold it in half like a booklet: Please add the following updates to the prayer list:
Sara Siepmann, friend of George Bach, who fell and broke her hip Please place the name of any service person you would like remembered in prayer in the envelope outside the church office. Please indicate branch of service, duty station and rank as well as relationship, if any, to you. A list will be compiled and kept in the Silent Prayer Room in Haffly Hall as well as posted in the church, on the prayer insert, and in Haffly Hall.
